Ammon Mold Remediation? Call SERVPRO

Count on the Pros to Secure Your Property Against Mold

Mold growth is a common problem. It can start from a simple leak of the outside gutters into your home and result in a growing colony between interior and exterior walls. It can cause certain health effects as well as cause extensive property damage if not discovered and dealt with promptly.

Most property owners don't realize they need a mold inspection or an assessment for their Ammon home until growth has already begun to spread. That's because the moisture that first allows mold spores to expand and grow is usually not noticed unless a family member steps in a puddle or notices a leak. The first sign of mold growth usually noticed is the musty odor it gives off as the patch proliferates and spreads. Not all mold species produce that musty odor, visual inspections often quickly discover a fungi issue. Regardless of how far the problem has grown, SERVPRO is ready to stop it.

Once called in, our inspectors use specialized moisture meters to examine air quality, identify the source of the mold and how far it has grown. This allows us to develop a remediation plan that will destroy the mold, remove most of the spores and reduce the moisture level to normal. Without this information, any effort to remove the mold is a half-effort at best, and the chances for new mold growth are fairly high.

With a plan in hand, our technicians will first remove any standing water that has been discovered. Then, they will isolate the infected areas. This prevents any further spread of mold and provides an area where technicians can remove work clothing and leave tools without worrying about accidentally contaminating other parts of the home.

Chemical cleaners and anti-fungal agents will be used to destroy growing mold spores and stop the spread. Once that is completed, industrial vacuums with HEPA filters are then used to remove spores from the infected areas. Our inspectors will then return to ensure the areas are as free of mold as is possible. Total mold eradication is not possible, in spite of what some companies may claim.

Before we depart, we will conduct a complete walk-through with you. This is to ensure your satisfaction before handing back the keys. As a local franchise with national support, SERVPRO of Idaho Falls is dedicated to helping our neighbors with an extensive inventory of equipment and training not available to all remediation companies.
